The Econex VSARP525C 1" Single Solenoid Valve - 500mbar is another variant in the VSA series of gas safety solenoid shut-off valves. These valves are designed for high-pressure applications and are compliant with the Norm EN 161, as well as the ATEX rule 94/9/CE for Zone 2 and 22 (II 3G – II 3D). This makes them suitable for the automatic control of gases from the first, second, and third family, and they can be used for air upon request.

Key features of the Econex VSARP525C include:

  • The valve body is constructed from die-cast aluminum, ensuring durability.
  • It has threaded connections of Rp 1 according to EN10226.
  • The valve is designed to handle inlet pressures of 1, 3, and 6 bar.
  • It features a rapid opening and closing time of less than 1 second.
  • The valve can operate in a wide range of ambient temperatures, from -20 to +60°C.
  • Various supply voltage options are available, including 230V ac, 110V ac, 24V - 12V ac and dc (not available for all sizes).
  • The frequency range for the valve is 50 - 60 Hz, with 50 Hz specifically for the 24V ac model.
  • It has an IP 65 enclosure rating.
  • The supply voltage tolerance is -15% to +10%.
  • The valve is designed for continuous duty cycles.

Additionally, the Econex VSARP525C valve is normally closed for continuous and cyclic operation, activating when the coil is powered and closing promptly when there is no tension. The coil is encapsulated in PA resin for protection, and the valve includes pressure test points at the inlet from both sides. Optional accessories for this model include a limit switch, maximum flow adjustment, and rapid stroke.
