Project Overview
The client required a highly robust burner system capable of operating in an extreme environment while maintaining precise control over temperature within the fluidised bed. The burners were required to operate at high pressure within internal perforated flame tubes set into the bed of the process plant. To meet these requirements, we partnered with our high-temperature experts at GTS-Comtherm in India and supplied four GTS-MTB Nozzle Mix Burners, a proven high-temperature burner technology designed for applications involving open tube firing. We chose high/low gas-only control to give the best temperature uniformity.

Why the MTB Burner?
For this application, the burners needed to fire directly into an open tube while maintaining high reliability and controlled combustion. The MTB burner technology was the ideal solution due to its exceptional stability throughout the whole of its operating envelope.
