Established in 1974, COMTHERM LIMITED has almost fifty years of experience in the design, supply installation and commissioning of industrial combustion equipment into the industrial and process heating market. The company specialises in the supply of complete combustion and heater packages, in the majority of cases the equipment supplied includes all necessary valve assemblies, flame failure and electrical control equipment.
The range of equipment offered includes gas, oil and dual fuel burners, direct and indirect fired heaters, valves, flow controls and electrical control panels as well as specialist thermal plant such as oxidisers, combustors and incinerators.
Combustion systems for all types of industrial applications can be supplied; these include burners for firing into combustion chambers, kilns, furnaces, lehrs and ovens or in-line burners for firing directly into process air streams. The range of equipment includes burners for firing immersion and radiant tubes and burners specifically designed for fume incineration.
A complete delivery, installation and commissioning service is offered, services include the manufacture and installation of associated steel fabrications and ductwork.
Burners are suitable for operation with standard commercially available fuel gases for example; natural gas, propane, butane, town gas and commercially available oils. However, they can be supplied for operation with low calorific value gases such as producer gas, syngas and biogas and most units are Hydrogen compatible.
Equipment is always supplied to meet the latest safety and environmental standards and often is specifically designed to comply with particular customer requirements.
All manufacture and assembly is completed at the company's factory facilities in Droitwich, England. The company has a steel fabrication and welding shop and completes all its own steel fabrication requirements. It also has two separate development and test installations within the factory premises which are utilised to test all burners and to process the company's continuous development program.
For many years Comtherm equipment has been exported throughout the world; overseas installations include all types of applications, from high temperature industries such as Steel, Glass and Ceramics to low temperature applications including paint finishing, paper drying, food processing, and air heating. In recent years overseas markets have been expanded so that now over half of the company's production is either directly or indirectly exported.
